About Me

I am a researcher, educator, and entrepreneur whose work focuses on the ethical, philosophical, and social implications of technology, particularly artificial intelligence. My academic background is grounded in philosophy and business, and my doctoral research examines AI through the lens of labour, autonomy, and alienation in education. My published work explores AI ethics, governance, and the moral consequences of digital systems, with a consistent emphasis on how technological change reshapes responsibility, judgement, and human agency.

Alongside my academic career, I am deeply involved in business practice. I am the founder of Azizem Limited, a premium confectionery brand rooted in tradition and craftsmanship, and I serve as Chairman of the Ayyanni Holding Group of Companies, which oversees family owned ventures across retail and food production in Cyprus. This dual engagement allows me to approach questions of ethics, labour, and technology not only as theoretical problems, but as lived, operational realities.

Across both academia and enterprise, my work is guided by a concern for autonomy, dignity, and the human consequences of economic and technological systems. I am particularly interested in how efficiency driven innovation can quietly transform work, education, and everyday life, often without sufficient ethical scrutiny. My aim is to contribute scholarship and practice that take these transformations seriously, resisting superficial optimism while remaining attentive to the real conditions in which people live and work.
